Gulmarg is a famous hill station and ski resort, located 50 kilometers from Srinagar. Best Time to Visit

Winter (December to March) is the peak season for snow activities like skiing and snowboarding. For hiking and sightseeing, summer (May to August) is ideal.




5. Pahalgam: Valley of Shepherds

Pahalgam is a picturesque town located along the banks of the Lidder River. It’s famous for its verdant meadows, pine forests, and as the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. Located just 22 kilometers from Srinagar, Dachigam National Park is home to some of Kashmir’s most iconic wildlife, including the rare Hangul deer. The park spans over 140 square kilometers and includes a diverse range of ecosystems, from lush valleys to alpine meadows.

The best time to visit Dachigam is from April to October when the weather is mild, and wildlife sightings are more common.


8. Shalimar Bagh: Mughal Garden Splendor
