Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Srinagar – Mughal Gardens & City CharmYour Kashmir journey begins as soon as you land at Srinagar Airport, where our representative will greet you and arrange a private transfer to your hotel (approx. 30–40 minutes drive).

After some rest, begin exploring the timeless beauty of Srinagar:

• Nishat Bagh (Garden of Joy) – Laid out in 1632 by Asif Khan, this terraced garden is adorned with cascading fountains, lush flower beds, and majestic chinar trees. From here, you can take in sweeping views of Dal Lake, dotted with houseboats and framed by the Zabarwan Mountains.

• Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love) – Built by Emperor Jehangir for Empress Noor Jehan, this romantic garden is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. The pathways lined with roses, fragrant blooms, and flowing water channels create a serene and enchanting atmosphere.

Optional Experiences:

• Take a peaceful shikara ride on Dal Lake as the sun sets, watching the reflections of the mountains dance on the water.

• Stroll through the local handicraft markets, where you can browse pashmina shawls, papier-mâché art, and handwoven carpets.

In the evening, return to your hotel and enjoy a hearty Kashmiri dinner.

Day 02: Excursion to Sonmarg – “The Meadow of Gold”

After breakfast, embark on a 2.5-hour drive (85 km) through scenic countryside to reach Sonmarg, a stunning valley surrounded by snowy peaks and alpine meadows. Along the way, you’ll pass through quaint villages, apple orchards, and flowing rivers.

Highlights of the day:

• Thajiwas Glacier – Just 3 km from Sonmarg, this icy wonder can be reached on foot, pony, or by hiring a local union cab. During summer, you’ll be amazed to see snow still covering the slopes. Adventurers can enjoy sled rides and photography on the glacier.

• Scenic Sindh Valley – Sonmarg sits on the banks of the Sindh River, known for trout fishing. You may pause to dip your feet in its crystal waters or enjoy a riverside walk.

• Gateway to Ladakh – Sonmarg is also the starting point for treks leading to high-altitude lakes like Vishansar, Krishansar, and Gangbal.

Optional Experiences:

• Stop for tea and snacks at a local dhaba overlooking the mountains.

• Capture postcard-perfect pictures of snow-capped peaks and meadows blanketed with wildflowers.

Return to Srinagar in the evening and relax at your hotel.

Day 03: Excursion to Gulmarg – “The Meadow of Flowers”

After breakfast, drive 1.5–2 hours (50 km) to Gulmarg, located at 2,730 meters. The drive itself is enchanting, passing through pine forests and charming villages.

Highlights:

• Gondola Ride (Phase I) – Enjoy one of the world’s highest and longest cable cars, taking you up to Kongdoori Station. The breathtaking views of snow-clad mountains and lush valleys below are simply unforgettable. (Phase II to Apharwat Peak is optional, subject to weather.)

• Ski Slopes & Golf Course – Gulmarg is world-renowned for skiing in winter, while in summer it transforms into a lush meadow with the world’s highest 18-hole golf course.

• Nature Walks – Wander through pine forests and flower-dotted meadows, soaking in the crisp mountain air.

Optional Experiences:

• Pony rides across alpine meadows (Not Included).

• Try local Kashmiri delicacies like Kehwa (saffron tea) and seekh kebabs at a local restaurant.

Return to Srinagar in the evening.

Day 04: Excursion to Pahalgam – “The Valley of Shepherds”

Morning: After breakfast, depart for Pahalgam (2.5–3 hours drive, 90 km), one of the most loved valleys of Kashmir. The route offers mesmerizing countryside views with saffron fields, willow trees, and rolling meadows.

En Route:

• Visit Awantipora Ruins, the remnants of a 9th-century Hindu temple built by King Avantivarman.

• Stop at a saffron field (seasonal, October–November) and experience the fragrance of the world’s most precious spice.

Local Sightseeing in Pahalgam:

• Aru Valley – A charming valley with green pastures, alpine forests, and mountain streams. It is also a base for treks to Kolahoi Glacier.

• Betaab Valley – Named after the Bollywood film Betaab, this valley is famous for its breathtaking landscapes of rolling meadows, gushing streams, and snow-capped mountains.

• Chandanwari – Known for its snow bridge and pristine views, it is also the starting point of the holy Amarnath Yatra.

Optional Experiences:

• Short trek or pony ride to explore the valleys more deeply.

• Enjoy a riverside picnic along the Lidder River, famous for trout fishing.

Evening: Return to Srinagar and experience the magic of staying in a Deluxe Houseboat on Dal Lake, complete with traditional Kashmiri interiors and hospitality.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your departure. Our representative will assist you with a smooth transfer to Srinagar Airport.

• Union Cab for ABC Valley in Pahalgam and in Sonmarg for visits to Thajiwas Glacier and Zero Point.

• Entry Tickets to gardens, parks, monuments, and other attractions (unless mentioned in inclusions).

• Drung Waterfall Excursion (Gulmarg) – Only local union vehicles are permitted from Tangmarg. Charges approx. ₹2,500–₹3,000 per vehicle (not included).

• Travel During Snowfall / Extreme Weather – When directed by the Traffic Department, Tempo Travellers and some commercial vehicles may not be allowed to travel to Gulmarg and Sonmarg. In such cases, only local union vehicles with snow chains are permitted on the following routes:

  • Tangmarg → Gulmarg

  • Gagangeer → Sonmarg Approximate charges: ₹2,500–₹3,000 per vehicle (not included).

• Airfare, railway tickets, beverages, and personal expenses.

• Anything not specifically mentioned in the inclusions.

Payment Terms, Hotel Booking & Cancellation Policy (Important)

• 3 to 5-Star Hotels:

  • Full Payment: Required 22 days before check-in to secure and confirm your bookings.

  • Booking & Payment Schedule: To guarantee confirmed reservations, the entire payment must be completed at least 21 days prior to the start of the tour.

  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made within 21 days of check-in (D-21) will attract 100% retention charges (no refund).

• Up to 2-Star Hotels:

  • Cancellations between 21–15 days before check-in → charged 1 night’s cost per hotel.

  • Booking & Payment Schedule for Up to 2 Star Hotels

  • To Reserve Your Trip: A 30% advance payment at the time of booking.

  • Before Your Arrival: Another 30% at least 15 days prior to check-in to secure all arrangements.

  • During Your Journey: The remaining 40% is payable three days before the conclusion of your tour.

This way, your booking is smooth, your trip is secured well in advance, and you can simply focus on enjoying your Kashmir experience with us.

• No Show (Failure to Check-in): 100% of total package cost charged (no refund).

Important GST & Input Tax Credit (ITC) Note

• The package cost is inclusive of GST (Non-Input Tax Credit / Non-ITC), as per tour operator service norms.

• If an ITC-compliant invoice is required, 18% GST will be applicable on the total package cost, and a GST invoice will be issued accordingly.
